CLIENT OVERVIEW:
Roaring Springs Waterpark is the largest waterpark in the Northwestern United States, drawing guests from across Idaho, Washington, and Oregon every summer. Behind the scenes, running a park of that size requires a large seasonal workforce made up of lifeguards, food and beverage teams, security staff, retail employees, and operations crews.

With hundreds of employees joining the team each season, uniforms play an important role in daily operations. Staff need the right apparel for their department, the correct sizes, and quick replacements when items get damaged or worn during a busy day at the park.

Managing all of that apparel can quickly become complicated without a reliable system in place. As Roaring Springs continued to grow, the team recognized the need for a better approach to their uniform inventory management; one that could keep uniforms organized, accessible, and ready whenever employees needed them.

Before working with SOLV, Roaring Springs handled its uniform program entirely on-site. Each year, the team would estimate how many uniforms they expected to need for the upcoming season and would place a large order before hiring began.

Once the apparel arrived, it was stored around the park and distributed during employee onboarding and throughout the season. While this approach worked for a time, it became increasingly difficult to manage as the park grew and staffing needs expanded.

Without a structured uniform inventory management system, it was hard to know exactly how many items were available at any given moment or which sizes and styles were being used most often.

This created several operational challenges, including:

- Limited visibility into uniform inventory by department, style, and size
- Large seasonal orders that sometimes resulted in excess inventory or unexpected shortages
- Time spent manually tracking apparel and searching for available items
- Difficulty forecasting demand for specific sizes and departments
- Delays when employees needed immediate uniform replacements

Because Roaring Springs hires hundreds of seasonal employees, uniforms are constantly moving. A team member might need a replacement shirt after a spill, a new hire might need apparel immediately, or a department could suddenly need more uniforms during a busy week.

Without reliable inventory visibility, staff often had to spend valuable time locating items or determining whether more uniforms needed to be ordered.

As the park expanded and added new attractions, restaurants, and guest areas, the need for a more organized and scalable uniform inventory management and fulfillment system became clear.

THE SOLUTION:
SOLV partnered with Roaring Springs to create a completely customized, more organized and scalable system for their uniform inventory management, ordering, and fulfillment. Instead of relying solely on on-site storage and seasonal bulk ordering, the new program combines a custom online portal with warehouse inventory management and rapid local fulfillment.

Together, these systems were designed to give the Roaring Springs team clear visibility into their uniform inventory while ensuring staff always will have access to the apparel they need, when they need it.
CUSTOM E-COMMERCE PORTAL FOR UNIFORM ORDERING
To simplify how uniforms are requested and replenished, SOLV built a custom internal online store designed specifically for Roaring Springs’ operational needs.

Unlike traditional employee apparel stores, this platform is used by leadership to manage uniform inventory releases and replenishment. And, because the park has so many departments with unique apparel requirements, the store was carefully structured to make navigation simple and intuitive.

The platform includes:

- A catalog organized across 22 different departments
- Department-specific apparel categories and subcategories
- Individual SKU listings for each size and apparel style
- Real-time visibility into available warehouse inventory
- Simple ordering for uniform releases and replenishment

By organizing the system around how Roaring Springs actually manages uniforms, staff can quickly locate the exact items they need without sorting through an overwhelming list of products.
WAREHOUSING AND INVENTORY MANAGEMENT WITH PAR LEVELS
In addition to the online ordering system, SOLV manages uniform inventory through its warehouse using PAR level inventory management. PAR levels are established based on historical usage, ensuring that uniform inventory remains stocked at appropriate levels throughout the season. When inventory drops below these thresholds, SOLV can proactively replenish items before shortages occur.

At the same time, Roaring Springs maintains smaller quantities of uniforms on-site at the waterpark at two internal storage locations. This allows staff to immediately provide apparel to employees when needed while still benefiting from the efficiency of outsourced warehouse inventory management.

This hybrid system gives Roaring Springs both speed and control while removing the burden of managing large apparel inventories internally.
FAST LOCAL FULFILLMENT AND ONGOING INVENTORY COLLABORATION
Because SOLV’s warehouse is located just minutes from the park, uniform replenishment orders can be fulfilled quickly.

In most cases:

- Orders placed before noon are delivered the same afternoon
- Orders placed later in the day arrive the following morning

This rapid turnaround ensures Roaring Springs staff can maintain adequate inventory throughout the season without needing to overstock uniforms.

To keep the program running smoothly, SOLV and Roaring Springs also hold regular inventory check-ins to review usage trends and upcoming staffing needs. These conversations allow both teams to adjust inventory levels as the park grows and seasonal demand shifts.
