Signs do a lot of talking, often before anyone on your team says a word. They’re the first thing people notice when walking into an event, passing a storefront, or approaching a booth.
At SOLV, we help Boise companies use signage the right way by designing pieces that are bold, clear, on-brand, and built for the real world. With professional sign printing in Boise, businesses can guide people, capture attention, and reinforce brand recognition without having to say a thing.
What Types of Signs Do Boise Businesses Use Most?
Boise businesses use signage everywhere, even if they don’t always think of it that way. Event signage is one of the biggest needs that we see. Banners, retractable displays, and directional signs help people quickly figure out where to go, what’s happening, and who’s hosting. At conferences and corporate events, signs are often the first brand touchpoint attendees experience.
Storefront signage is equally important. In Boise, we are starting to see more requests for window graphics, sidewalk signs, outdoor banners, and more. Well-designed storefront signage is helping local Boise-based organizations stand out on busy streets and invite people inside. A good sign doesn’t just share information; it sets the tone before a customer even opens the door.
Trade show signage is another major focus for Boise companies. Creative backdrops, booth displays, and branded podium wraps are helping businesses stand out in rooms full of their competitors. When you’ve got seconds to catch someone’s attention, visual impact will matter.
Common signage Boise companies rely on includes:
Retractable banners for events and presentations
Indoor and outdoor vinyl signs
Window decals and storefront graphics
Trade show backdrops and booth displays
Directional and informational signage
Together, these signs help brands show up consistently across both temporary setups and long-term spaces.
How Does Professional Sign Printing Improve Brand Visibility?
Good signage gets noticed. Great signage gets remembered. Professional sign printing will ensure that your message is clear, your colors are accurate, and your brand actually looks like your brand. When signs are produced correctly, everything feels intentional instead of thrown together.
Durability is a big part of that. Boise weather doesn’t always cooperate, and outdoor signs need to withstand sun, wind, and the occasional surprise storm. And when working with a commercial printer we work with materials and finishes that are bound to last, so your signage will still look good weeks or months down the line.
Professional quality printing is a huge benefit for events and trade shows. In busy spaces, people are constantly looking around and signage that has: sharp graphics, strong contrast, and easy-to-read messaging help your brand stand out when attention spans are short.
Scalability and repeatability are also important when it comes to signage. Many companies are in need of multiple signs for campaigns, seasonal promotions, or recurring events. And working with a reliable printer, like SOLV, can ensure that every piece, big or small, looks consistent every time.
Professional sign printing helps brands by:
Keeping colors sharp and brand-accurate
Making signs durable for indoor and outdoor use
Helping businesses stand out at events and trade shows
Supporting consistent branding across all sign formats
When signage looks good everywhere it shows up, brand trust follows.
What Should Boise Companies Consider When Choosing Sign Materials?
The right material can make or break a sign. Boise businesses should choose materials based on where the sign will live and how long it needs to last. Vinyl is one of the most popular options because it works well indoors and outdoors and delivers strong color quality.
For short-term needs, foam board and corrugated plastic are common choices. These materials are lightweight, easy to transport, and perfect for temporary displays, pop-up events, or limited-time promotions.
Long-term signage often calls for sturdier materials. Aluminum and other rigid substrates offer strength and weather resistance, making them ideal for outdoor installations or permanent displays.
Finish options are also important in choosing the right signage material. Matte finishes can reduce glare in bright spaces, while gloss finishes can make colors pop. Lamination adds an extra layer of protection, especially for signs in high-traffic areas.
Boise companies usually weigh factors like:
How long does the sign need to last
Whether it will be used indoors or outdoors
Portability for events and travel
Color vibrancy and readability
Overall durability and weather resistance
Choosing the right combination ensures the sign not only looks good but performs well wherever it’s placed.

Corporate gifting isn’t about checking a box. It’s about making people feel appreciated in a way that actually feels genuine.
At SOLV, we work with a lot of local Boise-based companies that want their gifts to say more than just “thanks for your time,” and say more “we value and appreciate your time.” Whether these gifts are for employees, clients, or partners, the right corporate gifts that teams choose can strengthen relationships, reinforce company culture, and leave a positive impression long after the moment passes.
What Corporate Gifts Are Boise Companies Choosing This Year?
Boise businesses are moving away from forgettable gifts and leaning into items that people actually enjoy using. Drinkware remains a favorite gift for many, and it’s easy to see why. Premium tumblers, insulated bottles, and ceramic mugs show up on desks, in cars, and at home, which means steady brand visibility without feeling promotional.
Apparel is another go-to, especially when it’s done right. Comfortable sweatshirts, quality jackets, and clean accessories can help employees feel connected to the company. These pieces are often used for onboarding, seasonal gifting, or team events, and when they look good, people actually wear them.
Wellness-focused gifts have also started to gain some traction. We’re noticing that Boise teams appreciate the more thoughtful items like self-care kits, snacks, and relaxation bundles more than they have in the past. Why? Because these gifts feel personal and show that companies care about more than just output and deadlines.
Tech gifts continue to round out many gifting programs. Items like portable chargers, Bluetooth speakers, and other valuable accessories that feel modern and practical, make them easy wins for both employees and clients.
Boise companies frequently choose corporate gifts such as:
Premium drinkware and insulated mugs
Branded apparel for onboarding or seasonal events
Wellness kits and curated snack boxes
Tech accessories with real everyday value
Desk items that work well for hybrid or remote teams
These choices strike a balance between usefulness, quality, and brand presence.
Why Do Branded Merchandise Gifts Build Stronger Business Relationships?
Thoughtful branded gifts go a long way in building connection. When employees receive something they actually like, it reinforces that their work is noticed and valued. That kind of recognition can help boost morale and strengthen overall employee engagement, especially around milestones or seasonal celebrations.
For clients, corporate gifts act as a physical reminder of the relationship. A well-made, well-designed kit communicates professionalism and appreciation without needing a long message. It keeps your brand present in a way that feels natural and respectful.
Consistency also plays a role. When gifts reflect the company’s branding and values, they reinforce recognition across teams and audiences. However the most important thing is the quality of the items given away. Swag that feels intentional creates a better association with the brand than something generic or rushed.
HR teams see significant value in cohesive gifting programs. Branded merchandise supports onboarding, anniversaries, and employee recognition while helping maintain a unified culture. Seasonal gifts, in particular, give companies a reason to pause and celebrate the people behind the work.
Branded corporate gifts help strengthen relationships by:
Showing appreciation in a way that feels personal
Reinforcing brand identity through quality merchandise
Supporting internal recognition and HR initiatives
When gifting feels thoughtful, the impact lasts far beyond the moment it’s received.
How Can Companies Personalize Corporate Gifts for Better Impact?
Personalization is what turns a nice gift into a memorable one. Boise-based companies are increasingly tailoring gifts to specific teams, roles, or moments. Adding a name, custom message, or minor design variation can help the recipient feel genuinely seen.
Choosing items that fit someone’s lifestyle is critical to making a promotional item feel personalized. Things like: outdoor gear for active employees, desk-friendly items for your hybrid workers, or insulated drinkware for busy teams all feel more relevant and intentional.
Presentation is often overlooked, but probably the most important feature in corporate gifting. Branded packaging, custom boxes, and printed cards will elevate the end-users experience and make the gift feel complete. This approach works exceptionally well for seasonal gifting, onboarding kits, and milestone celebrations.
Companies often personalize corporate gifts through:
Custom engraving or embroidery
Department- or role-specific gift bundles
Branded cards with handwritten notes
Curated packages for different employee groups
Merchandise that reflects the company culture and values
These details show care and thought, which is precisely what good corporate gifting is about.

At SOLV, we help Boise businesses design, source, and deliver branded merchandise that employees and clients genuinely appreciate. From seasonal gifts to ongoing recognition programs, we make it easier to give gifts that feel intentional, on-brand, and worth keeping.
Let’s be honest, promotional products only work if people actually want to use them.
At SOLV, we spend a lot of time helping Boise companies move past the “freebie drawer” mindset and into branded merchandise that actually gets noticed. When promo items are thoughtful, well-made, and on-trend, they don’t just sit around. They travel. They get used. And they keep your brand top of mind without feeling forced.
That’s why promotional products Boise businesses choose today look very different from those they did a few years ago.
What Promotional Products Are Boise Companies Ordering Most?
Boise companies are getting smarter about what they order and what they skip. Instead of novelty items, they’re choosing products people already use every day. Practical doesn’t have to mean boring. In fact, it usually performs better.
Drinkware continues to lead the pack. Tumblers, insulated bottles, and travel mugs show up everywhere, from desks to gym bags to road trips. When the quality is good, these items stick around for the long haul.
Apparel is another favorite, especially when it doesn’t scream “corporate.” Soft tees, comfortable hoodies, and clean hats are popular because people actually want to wear them. When branded apparel feels good, it stops being swag and starts being part of someone’s rotation.
Tech accessories are also having a moment. Portable chargers, cables, and wireless accessories feel modern and valuable, which makes them easy wins, especially for hybrid and remote teams.
Boise companies are consistently ordering:
Branded apparel that people don’t mind wearing in public
High-quality drinkware that lives on desks and in bags
Reusable totes for events and everyday errands
Notebooks and desk items that get daily use
Tech accessories that solve small but real problems
The common thread? These items earn their place in someone’s day.
How Do Branded Merchandise Items Support Business Visibility?
The best promo items don’t feel promotional. They feel useful. When someone grabs a branded water bottle or throws on a company hoodie, your brand shows up naturally, no sales pitch required. That repeated exposure is what makes promo items Boise companies rely on so effective.
Quality matters more than people expect. A cheap item sends a message, even if it’s unintentional. While, a well-made product does the opposite. It reflects care, attention to detail, and brand confidence. Boise businesses that invest in quality usually see their merchandise stick around longer and get used more often.
Promo items also do a lot of internal heavy lifting. Branded merchandise helps teams feel connected, especially during onboarding, company milestones, or seasonal gifting. It’s a simple way to reinforce culture without overthinking it.
And because promotional products are flexible, they work across multiple touchpoints. Client gifts, trade shows, employee recognition, community events, it all adds up to a more visible, more memorable brand presence.
Branded merchandise boosts visibility by:
Showing up in everyday routines
Creating long-term brand exposure
Supporting both marketing and company culture
Making the brand feel approachable and familiar
When people like the product, they remember the brand.
Which Promo Items Offer the Best ROI for Boise Businesses?
ROI isn’t about how cheap an item is; it’s about how often it gets used. The more someone reaches for a product, the more impressions your brand earns.
Drinkware is a consistent top performer. A good tumbler or bottle can last for years, which means years of brand visibility. Comfort and durability make all the difference here.
Apparel also delivers strong ROI when it’s done right. If it fits well and looks good, people wear it. And when they wear it, your brand goes with them, around town, to events, and beyond.
Tote bags have become another high-return favorite. They’re reusable, practical, and easy to carry everywhere. Plus, they offer plenty of space for clean, readable branding.
For professional audiences, notebooks and desk accessories still work well. These items live front and center during the workday, quietly reinforcing brand recognition without feeling like marketing.
High-ROI promo items typically include:
Premium drinkware
Apparel people actually like
Reusable totes
Desk essentials and notebooks
Practical tech accessories
When usefulness and quality align, ROI follows.

A business card may be small, but it does a lot of talking.
Long before a follow-up email or LinkedIn request, it was often the first physical impression someone has of your brand.
At SOLV, we work with Boise companies to not treat their business cards like an afterthought, but as a moment to make a great first impression. With the right design and production approach, a business card can become a subtle but powerful way to signal your businesses credibility, confidence, and attention to detail the moment it exchanges hands.
What Printing Options Help Boise Business Cards Stand Out?
The best business cards feel intentional. What we’ve noticed over the years is that Boise-based businesses want theirs to stand out. That usually starts with the material it’s printed on, and for good reason. Weight is important, making a choice in using premium cardstock can immediately feel more substantial, more professional, and far less disposable than a thin, flimsy card.
Finish choices shape the experience even more. Matte finishes feel clean and modern, and cut down on glare. Gloss finishes make colors pop and feel bold. Textured stocks add a tactile element that people notice the second they pick the card up, even if they don’t consciously realize why.
For brands that want to take things a step further, specialty techniques come into play. These details highlight key elements without turning the card into a design experiment.
Standard enhancements we see Boise-based companies choose include:
Foil stamping for subtle metallic accents
Spot UV to draw attention to logos or names
Embossing or debossing for dimensional detail
Soft-touch coating for a smooth, premium feel
When used thoughtfully, these upgrades turn a standard card into something people actually pause to look at and keep.
How Does Professional Commercial Printing Improve Quality?
Design is only half the equation. Even the best-looking business card can fall flat if it’s printed poorly.
When it comes to commercial printing, professional Boise-based teams rely on clean trimming, sharp edges, and consistent color across every batch. Print quality and consistency matters, especially when it comes to matching your business cards to the rest of your branded materials.
Color accuracy is one of the biggest advantages of working with a professional print partner. For Boise businesses, managing multiple branded assets, like apparel, signage, marketing collateral, and business cards, can be challenging. And working with a commercial printer that understands how different inks, papers, and coatings interact, can ensure that everything stays consistent and on brand.
Durability on your brands commercial printing also makes a big difference. Thicker stock, precise cutting, and protective finishes can help business cards hold up in wallets, pockets, and trade show bags. When a card still looks good weeks later, it reflects well on the brand behind it.
Working with professional printers can also make reordering easy. Marketing teams, HR departments, and leadership don’t have to worry about mismatched batches or inconsistent finishes. One partner means fewer surprises and smoother long-term results.
Professional printing enhances business cards by:
Maintaining brand-accurate colors
Improving material strength and finish quality
Ensuring clean trimming and alignment
Supporting consistent reorders across teams
On their own, these details might seem small. Together, they make a noticeable difference.
Which Design Elements Make Business Cards More Memorable?
The most effective business cards strike a balance between clarity and personality. The most successful Boise brands stand out because they tend to avoid clutter and focus on intentional layouts. A clear design hierarchy can help the most important information stand out without overwhelming the reader.
Typography plays a bigger role than many people expect. Fonts should match the brand’s overall identity and be easy to read at a glance. Clean spacing keeps the card from feeling cramped and makes the information easier to absorb.
Color choices matter too. Strong branding choices, such as color or thoughtful contrast, helps business card stand out visually while still feeling cohesive with other materials. But don’t forget the power of white space. It can do a lot of heavy lifting to give the design room to breathe and keep the focus where it belongs.
Some Boise-based organizations even take things a step further on their designs with creative but functional elements like:
Rounded corners or unique card shapes
Vertical layouts for a modern feel
Double-sided designs for extra messaging
QR codes linking to websites or digital business cards
These touches give people a reason to hold on to the card instead of tossing it into a stack.
Partner with SOLV for Boise Business Card Printing
A great business card reflects the care behind your brand. At SOLV, we help Boise companies design and produce business cards that feel intentional, polished, and on-brand from the first impression to the last detail. From material selection and printing to fulfillment and ongoing support, we make sure your cards work just as hard as you do.
Branding doesn’t stop at your website. It shows up in the stuff people actually interact with, what they hold, wear, flip through, and walk past every day. At SOLV, we work with local Boise businesses that get this.
If your printed materials feel random or rushed, your brand will too. From marketing collateral to apparel and signage, print is one of the fastest ways to either level up your brand or quietly work against it. That’s why companies across the Treasure Valley look for printing services in Boise that deliver quality, consistency, and real-world follow-through.
What Printing Services Do Boise Businesses Use Most?
Most Boise businesses use print far more than they realize. Marketing teams lean on brochures, postcards, and sales materials because these pieces still show up everywhere, at events, meetings, mailers, and front desks. And if they feel cheap or off-brand, people will notice.
Apparel and promotional products are another major player. Uniforms, branded gear, onboarding kits, and giveaways help teams look unified and recognizable. When employees wear branded apparel, or customers reuse a well-made promo item, your brand keeps showing up long after that first interaction.
Then there’s signage, where brands really start to show up in the real world. Event displays, storefront signage, and vehicle graphics all fight for attention in busy environments. If they’re not bold, readable, and durable, they get ignored.
To keep everything working together, Boise businesses typically rely on printing services like:
Marketing collateral for sales and outreach
Branded apparel and uniforms
Promotional merchandise for events and engagement
Large-format signage and displays
Training materials and internal documents
When these pieces work together, marketing, HR, and operations stay aligned, and the brand looks put-together everywhere it appears.
How Do Professional Printing Services Improve Brand Presentation?
Professional printing changes how a brand feels. Clean graphics, accurate colors, and consistent production make a business look intentional, not slapped together. When a brochure, hoodie, and banner all feel like they belong to the same brand, brand trust will automatically go up.
Clarity is another huge win. High-quality printing makes information easier to read and easier to remember. Whether it’s a trade show handout or an internal training guide, sharp visuals will help people engage with the content rather than skim past it.
There’s also a behind-the-scenes benefit teams appreciate quickly. A strong print partner can handle warehousing, fulfillment, reorders, and distribution. That means fewer vendors, fewer fire drills, and fewer “why does this look different than last time?” moments.
Over time, this consistency adds up. Brands that show up the same way again and again are easier to trust, and a lot harder to forget.
Professional printing supports brand presentation by:
Keeping colors and branding consistent across materials
Making content easier to read and engage with
Taking work off internal teams’ plates
Supporting collaboration across departments
Reinforcing long-term brand recognition
At that point, print isn’t just a task; it’s part of your brand strategy.
What Should You Look for in a Print Shop in Boise?
Not all print shops in Boise are created equal. The right partner doesn’t just hit “print” on what you send over. They help protect your brand. That starts with offering a wide range of capabilities, from marketing materials and apparel to signage, promotional items, and operational print needs.
Details matter more than most people think. Color accuracy, material choices, fabric decoration, and finishing all impact how professional the final product feels. When those details are off, something feels wrong, even if no one can quite put their finger on it.
Scalability is another big one. Campaigns, events, and onboarding cycles don’t always show up neatly spaced on a calendar. A dependable print partner can ramp up when needed without sacrificing quality or turnaround time.
When Boise businesses evaluate printing services, they often look for:
A broad mix of printing and production capabilities
The right partner makes printing easier, not harder, and helps your brand show up the right way every time.
Partner with SOLV for Reliable Printing Services in Boise
At SOLV, we help Boise businesses take the guesswork out of printing. From branded merchandise and apparel to signage, fulfillment, and operational print support, we make sure your brand looks consistent, intentional, and ready for whatever comes next. Every year, branded merch evolves, but something about 2026 feels different.
Swag is no longer judged solely by how it looks or how much it costs. It’s being evaulated by how it’s experienced, how it’s for, and what it represents, and whether it actually fits into people’s lives. As workplace culture continues to shift and audiences become more intentional, branded merchandise is moving further away from generic giveaways and closer to purposeful brand touchpoints.
What’s Shaping Swag Trends in 2026
Based on what we’re seeing across corporate gifting, employee engagement, events, and culture-driven merch programs, 2026 will be defined by intentionality over volume.
Burnout, digital fatigue, and oversaturation have changed expectations. People want swag that:
Feels personal and not mass-produced
Aligns with values and not just budgets
Creates connection instead of clutter
Reflects direction and not just decoration
Brands are becoming more thoughtful about how swag is designed, when it’s given, who it’s for, and what it communicates. That’s why this year’s trends aren’t just product-based, they’re strategy-based.
Below, we break down the 8 swag and merch trends we predict will define 2026,:
Trend 1: Experience-First Swag
In 2026, we believe that swag and merch are no longer about the item, it’s about the experience that is tied to it. As burnout and digital fatigue are becoming more prominent in workplace culture; We are noticing that people are placing more value on moments and items that feel intentional, personal, and human.
Brands are going to start pushing away from transactional, run-of-the-mill giveaways and towards experience-driven swag (just like we talk about in our Get Merch’d series). Whether it’s swag that can be customized live, you put the power of choice into your gifting strategy, or start creating interactive moments built into trade shows and events, the focus should be on creating engagement and connection rather than adding more clutter.
What is Experience-First Swag?
Experience-First Swag will prioritize how people receive and interact with merch, not just the items that they take home.
Instead of handing out pre-selected items, brands should be creating moments where recipients can choose, customize, or participate in the process. Thus making the merch more memorable and more likely to be used, because it became a touchpoint for community-building, recognition, and shared experience.
This believe this trend will show up in:
Live customization stations: embroidery, debossing, printing, etc.
“Choose-your-own” merch online stores and pop-up shops
Interactive gifting tied to events, retreats, or milestones
Hybrid experiences that work for both in-person and remote teams
Who Should Pay Attention?
Companies hosting corporate events, conferences, or offsites
HR and People teams focused on employee engagement and culture
Brands looking to create a more meaningful trade show experience
Organizations with hybrid or remote workforces
Brands with audiences who value connection and are burned out on generic swag
How to Use it:
Replace bulk giveaways with interactive or choice-based merch experiences
Incorporate live customization into events or trade shows
Build swag moments around milestones, onboarding, or team recognition
Design experiences that work for both in-person and remote participants
Trend 2: Wearable Self-Expression
We predict in 2026 that some companies are going to lean less into “quiet luxury” and more in bold and loud expressions. As Gen Z continues to influence what feels current, cool, and culturally relevant, personal style is going to become louder, more playful, and more layered. Thus causing a shift that you can see showing up in areas like interior design, fashion, art and more.
When it comes to branded merch and swag, this means that everyday items are no longer going to need to be functional, but they’ll need to become statement pieces. Colors, textures, and personality are going to be in this year, and brands that embrace expressive design will stand out from the sea of neutral, logoed merch.
What is Wearable Self-Expression
Wearable Self-Expression is about using swag as a canvas for individuality.
Instead of blending in, your merch should be designed to be seen. Things like bold prints, saturated colors, layered textures, and eye-catching silhouettes will turn practical promotional products into tools for self-expression. Accessories and lifestyle items are becoming a way for recipients to showcase their personality, whether that’s at work, on the go, or at home.
The goal of this trend isn’t subtle branding, it’s about creating a memorable design.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Brands targeting Gen Z or younger Millennial audiences
Lifestyle, creative, fitness, fashion, or consumer facing brands
Companies building ambassador, influencer, or community programs
Organizations wanting swag that feels modern, fun, and expressive
Brands that value creativity, individuality, or visual impact
How to Use it:
Lean into bold colors, patterns and textures
Choose items people will wear or carry visably
Let design lead the way while branding is still intentional
Use this trend for limited-edition items, company culture merch, or ambassador programs
Trend 3: Human-Led Creativity
After several years of rapid AI adoption, we believe that brands will be entering a new phase of maturity. In the early days, AI-generated designs, copy, and artwork felt exciting, but now in 2026, that novelty has worn off and audiences can spot generic, auto generated content easily.
What we’re seeing is that this is sparking a cultural correction. Instead of using AI at the forefront, smart brands are shifting toward human-led creativity. We believe that brands will be using AI much more intentionally and in the background to help support idea generation, personalization. When it comes to merch and swag, originality, craftsmanship, and storytelling are will become the differentiators for brands again.
What is Human-Led Creativity?
Human-Led Creativity is going to be the shift towards merch and swag that feels designed, intentional, and emotionally resonant. It’ll be the stuff that AI can’t replace because it’s putting the focus back in human, rather than mass-produced swag and designs.
Yes, AI will still play a role, but more behind the scenes this year. Brands should still use it to help generate variations of their promotional products, to help speed up personalization, or even support design workflows, but what it isn’t going to do is replace the creative point of view that your marketing and creative teams have.
We believe that this trend will show up this year in:
Custom illustrations and hand-drawn artwork
Narrative-driven merch campaigns that will tell a story
Personalization that feels expressive, and not AI generated
Crafty styled designs (in the best way) with customized embroidery locations, original debossing locations, and new textures
Who Should Pay Attention?
Creative-led brands and agencies
Companies investing in culture, onboarding, or employee engagement
Brands using AI internally but wanting to preserve a human, authentic identity
Teams tired of generic, template-driven swag
Organizations where your audience and stakeholders value originality, storytelling, or emotional connection
How to Use this Trend in Your Swag Strategy
Invest in original designs over stock templates
Use AI behind the scenes to support personalization and production
Choose merch that highlights craft, texture, and storytelling
Focus on personalization that reflects personality, not just names or titles
Trend 4: Values-Driven Gifting
2026’s branded merch is going to be way more evaluated than ever before. The past couple of years have ushered in a much larger wave of consumer awareness and people are paying much closer attention to who made the item, where it came from, and what the brands they support.
Intentionally or not, swag will become another place where consumers will be much more aware of your specific company’s values, diversity efforts, sustainability efforts, and community impact. The promotional products you choose will no longer be invisible, but will be a part of your overall brand’s messaging.
Consumers are getting smarter, but this trend isn’t about the flashy storytelling or the performative gestures. It’s about choosing the swag and merch that will quietly reinforce what your organization stands for.
What is Values-Driven Gifting?
Values-Driven Gifting is the shift towards choosing merch based on alignment, not just aesthetics, price, or popularity.
Instead of defaulting to mass-produced items, brands should be prioritizing co-branding their swag with companies that reflects their values. Whether that means supporting women-owned, minority-owned, or brands focused on sustainability, and being intentional with that choice is important.
The products themselves might be simple, but the meaning will come from who supports it and why it was chosen.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Organizations with clear DEI, ESG, or community initiatives
HR and People teams focused on culture and belonging
Brands using swag for onboarding, internal programs, or milestones
Companies that want their purchasing decisions to reflect their mission
Organizations that care about how decisions are made and just the end result
How to Use it:
Communicate with your distributor to find products based on ownership and mission
Prioritize co-branding that aligns with your company’s values
Choose fewer items, but choose them intentionally
Provide light context around who made the item and why it was selected
Trend 5: The Fresh-Start Effect
In 2026, we expect to see corporate gifting being used more intentionally to mark change, growth, and new direction. Rather than sending swag “just because,” companies are going to start curating gifts that help signal what’s next: a new year, a new role, a new strategy, or a new chapter for the organization.
The Fresh-Start Effect will be about creating thoughtful, forward-looking moments through merch. These items won’t just be about indulgence or recovery, they’ll be about clarity, focus, and momentum, so that teams can feel more aligned as the company moves ahead.
What is The Fresh-Start Effect?
The Fresh-Start Effect will use swag to set the tone for a new chapter.
Instead of everyday utility or long-term background use, this trend is all about bring together intentional, curated items that symbolize direction and progress. Clean designs, minimal branding, and purposeful product selection will help reinforce the idea of a reset towards something new.
Some of items that will reinforce this trend will often be: Tools that support focus or planning, items that encourage reflection or goal-setting, or products that feel symbolic of “starting fresh.”
The power of this trend will be alignment, so that everyone can start the next phase on the same page.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Leadership teams rolling out new initiatives or strategies
HR and People teams onboarding employees or leaders
Companies entering a growth phase, rebrand, or organizational shift
Teams planning Q1, fiscal year resets, or milestone moments
Organizations whose goal is to clearly communicate “this is where we’re going”
How to Use it:
Tie gifting to a specific transition or organizational shift
Curate items that symbolize focus, clarity, and forward movement
Keep design clean and intentional to reinforce the message
Use inserts or customization to connect the gift to the bigger picture
Trend 6: Modern Nostalgia
This year, nostalgia won’t be about recreating the past exactly as it was. It’ll be about reinterpreting nostalgia for modern audiences through: giving cool retro aesthetics a digital upgrade or taking those familiar silhouettes and throwback design styles modern functionality. It’s going to be all about bringing that fun past, forward.
The evolution of this design style won’t only resonate with those who lived through them, but with younger audiences like Gen Z, who are drawn to the warmth, personality, and retro-inspired designs. Why? Because in a hyper-digital world, nostalgia is offering a feeling of comfort without sacrificing modern convenience.
What is Modern Nostalgia?
Modern Nostalgia is the fusion of retro design with a modern edge.
Items should feel familiar at a first glance, but should deliver more of a modern flair that will fit seamlessly into modern day life. Design and styles choices like using classic shapes, bold stripes, chrome finishes, or lo-fi color palettes will help communicate this merch trend beautifully.
When it comes to swag and merch, this will show up a lot in retro-styled goods, bold outerwear, and fun design aesthetics that are taking modern, simple items back to whatever era they’re referencing.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Brands looking to spark an emotional connection through design
Consumer-facing, lifestyle, or culture driven organizations
Companies running limited-edition drops or special activations.
Teams wanting swag that feels fun, familiar, and instantly likable
Organizations who’s audience values personality and designs with character
How to Use it:
Choose products with retro silhouettes or visual aesthetics that are upgraded with modern functionality
Lean into colors, patterns, and textures inspired by past decades
Use nostalgia strategically for launches, anniversaries or special moments
Balance playful design with real, everyday usability
Trend 7: Quiet Influence
Not all swag will be meant to stand-out in 2026. Some of the most effective branded items will still be the ones that blend seamlessly into daily life, quietly reinforcing brands through consistent use rather than visual noise.
While workplaces, homes, and routines continue to blend together, people still going to be drawn to products that feel neutral and easy to live with. Quiet Influence reflects merch that doesn’t compete for attention, but rather, merch that earns its place over time through design, quality, and utility.
What is Quiet Influence?
Quiet Influence is the strategy of choosing swag that makes an impact throught subtlety and longevity.
These items will be designed to live in the background of someone’s day. Whether it’s at a desk, in a home, or a part of someone’s daily routine, these products will need to be designed intentionally, but restrained. Style choices like clean lines, soft neutral palettes, and minimal branding are what will communicate this trend the best.
Rather than your brand shouting from the rooftops, this merch trend will work quietly for you. These will be swag items that are bound to get used often, making them relevant longer to help build your brands familiarity through repeated use.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Brands focused on long-term employee or client relationships
Organizations sourcing merch meant for everyday use
Companies that prefer subtle branding over bold branding
Teams investing in premium, luxury items
Organizations who want your swag to be used often
How to Use it:
Choose products that are designed to integrate naturally into daily routines
Keep branding subtle: tone-on-tone, debossed, or minimal logo placements
Prioritize repeat use and longevity over visual impact
Let materials, form, and function do the work to carry the brand
Trend 8: Strategic Relevance
As we head into 2026, we expect one shift to define successful swag programs more than any single product trend: relevance over reach.
In a market saturated with “can’t-miss” and “the next best thing” products, organizations will need to move away from swag that tries to appeal to everyone. Instead, we anticipated brands to become far more deliberate with their purchasing: choosing few items, but choosing them with a specific audience in mind. The future of swag won’t be what’s universally like; it’ll be all about finding the right merch for the people receiving it.
What is Strategic Relevance?
Strategic Relevance is the move toward audience-specific merch decisions, where swag is selected based on who the recipients are, how they work, and what fits naturally into their lives.
Companies will stop defaulting to safe, one-size-fits-all items and start curating swag that aligns with distinct teams, roles, and communities within the organization. Rather than chasing broad trends, some brands will prioritize resonance by choosing products that feel intentional and appropriate to a defined group.
This trend is simple: if the swag feels relevant, it’ll feel personal — even without customization.
Who Should Pay Attention?
Organizations with diverse teams, roles, or lifestyles
Companies with hybrid, remote, or distributed workforces
HR and People teams focused on inclusion and representation
Brands planning ongoing or repeat swag programs
How to Use it:
Segment swag programs by team, role, or interests
Choose items that reflect how recipients actually work or live
Move away from mass giveaways and more towards smaller, more intentional assortments
Measure success by usage and adoption
Summary
As we move into 2026, swag will no longer be about checking a box or keeping up with the latest product trend, it’ll be about making intentional choices that reflect who you are, who your people are, and where your organization is headed.
We believe that the most effective merch programs will be focused less on volume and more on relevance, experience, and alignment. So, whether that’s creating memorable moments, embracing bold self-expression, signaling a new chapter, or choosing products that quietly integrate into daily life, the common thread is intention.
Trends will come and go, but swag that’s thoughtful, well-timed, and designed with purpose will always stand out, and more importantly, it will actually get used.

The end of the year is prime time to show a little appreciation to the people who keep your business moving forward. It’s basically a built-in excuse to say thanks with something that feels meaningful, memorable, and keeps your company top of mind heading into the new year.
2025 is the year to level up your client gifting game. And let’s be real, no one needs another cookie or popcorn tin. If that’s been your go-to move, it might be time to switch it up. The best gifts hit that sweet spot between useful, on-trend, and “danggggg, that’s cool.”
So skip the generic stuff and give them something they’ll still be talking about long after the holidays wrap up.
What’s Hot in Client Gifting for 2025
The rules for client gifting have changed. It’s no longer about what’s easy to order—it’s about what stands out, feels good to open, and actually is going to get used.
This year, we’re seeing a few clear trends shaping how companies approach client gifting in 2025. The common thread? Every great gift feels memorable, meaningful, and adaptable across different company cultures and industries.
Here is what’s trending this year:
Personal Touch: Clients want to feel seen, not mass-gifted. Across the board, we’re seeing more custom packaging, handwritten note cards, and personalized products that make each recipient feel like the gift was chosen just for them. The goal: thoughtful over transactional.
Quality over Quantity: One great item with purpose always beats a box full of filler swag. Go for something premium that ties into your company’s 2025 story. A piece that feels intentional and not like leftover from last spring’s trade show table.
Everyday Appeal: The best gifts are the ones that make it into daily life. Whether it’s something for their desk, travel bag, or home setup, aim for products that fit seamlessly into your client’s routine. This way your gift is bound to get used rather than donated.
Make it an Experience: The unboxing moment matters. Gifting with elevated packaging and presentation make a bigger impact than a plain kraft bag full of random swag. Treat your 2025 client gifts like a mini brand experience… because they are.
A Little Personality Never Hurts: Add some humor, color, or a creative twist that makes your gift feel uniquely yours. When your branding feels human, it sticks.
Our Top Gift Picks for 2025:
Now let’s talk about the gifts. Here’s a look at 20 premium, name-brand items that check all the boxes: useful, impressive, and built to last. Each one can be branded, packaged, and quoted directly through SOLV.
Tech & Productivity
14oz Ember Smart Mug: A temperature-controlled coffee mug that’s sleek and gift-worthy.
Nimble Fold 3-in-1 Wireless Charger: A compact, eco-friendly charger that powers your phone, watch, and earbuds all at once.
Chipolo ONE: A sleek Bluetooth tracker that helps them find keys, bags, or anything else that tends to disappear when they’re running late.
Anker® Soundcore Wireless Headphones: Delivers immersive sound and quiet focus without breaking the bank.
Logitech® Casa Pop-Up Desk: A full work setup that folds into a stylish book-sized case, perfect for hybrid work and small spaces.
Even the coolest products can flop without the right presentation. Here’s how to make sure your 2025 client gifts are going to stand out:
Segment your List: Every client deserves appreciation, but not every gift has to cost the same. Segment your list and lock in quantities for each tier so you can manage your holiday budget effectively
Brand Smart: Subtle beats flashy. A tasteful logo placement on premium packaging says “partner” and not “promo.” If you do decided to go flashy, make sure the design is creative and original, not a repeat of something you’ve already done.
Tell a Story: Include a short message or not with you gift. Explain how the item(s) you selected relate to your brand, what they represent and why you chose them. Spell it out for your client so they understand the story you’re telling.
Ship Early: December gets chaotic—especially with UPS, USPS, and FedEx. Aim to deliver your gifts in early December so they stand out before inboxes and doorsteps get overloaded.
Follow Up: A quick call or email is a natural way to start a new-year conversation and confirm they received your gift. Plus, it’s a great way to gather insight for your 2026 gifting. You can find out what they loved, what stood out, and how it made them feel.

Embroidery: The Classic Choice
Embroidery is more than likely the first idea people get when they’re thinking of apparel decoration methods, and they’re not wrong for thinking that. In our own terms, it’s the ‘gold standard’ of branded apparel, perfect for that clean and professional look.
Pros:
Durability: Embroidery lasts as long as the fabric does.
Premium Look: It elevates your brand with a textured, high-end feel.
Versatility: Embroidery works great on thicker fabrics like fleece, denim, knitwear, and head wear.
Cons:
Cost: Embroidery typically can become more expensive for intricate designs and the number of colors your logo might have.
Design Limitations: If your logo or designs have small text or are very detailed, embroidery wouldn’t be the way to go.
Color Match: Matching your brand’s pantone color to a thread color can sometimes be difficult. There isn’t always an exact match, but we here at SOLV always consult with you to find the best color match.
Screen Printing: Bold & Vibrant
Screen printing is the go-to for high-volume orders that offers vibrant, long-lasting designs. It’s perfect for those bold logos on t-shirts and hoodies, making it one of those constant crowd-pleasing apparel decoration methods at events and giveaways.
Pros:
Cost-Effective: If you plan on ordering in bulk, screen printing is your BFF.
Vibrant Colors & Durability: It achieves bold, consistent designs that last a very long time.
Soft Touch: Screen printing creates a softer product touch due to the ink penetrating the fabric, which is ideal for those full back designs.
Cons:
Fabric Restrictions: Screen printing works best on flat, smooth fabrics so we here at SOLV wouldn’t recommend it for all garment types out there.
Not Ideal for Short Run: Due to the set-up time for the screens, it makes the pricing not effective for low quantity orders.
Not Detail Friendly: If you have a design with a ton of details or is extremely complex. Our recommendation would be to simplify your design or limit your color palette to resolve this issue.
Pro Tip: When designing for screen print, work in layers when using Adobe Illustrator for each color you’re using. It helps speed up the process of taking your design from digital to getting it printed on your shirt.
Heat Transfers (Vinyl or Digital): Custom & Colorful
Heat pressing can use either vinyl or digital transfer to create precise and customizable designs. It’s a go-to for us here at SOLV since it tends to be perfect for short runs or one-off customizations. Need to get down-n-dirty with getting t-shirts decorated? Heat Transfers are the perfection apparel decoration method for your business.
Pros:
Customization: If you want to personalize your garments with individual names, numbers, or event unique design elements! Heat Transfers are your new buddy.
Versatile Materials: Heat Transfers work on a much wider range of fabrics compared to other decoration methods.
Cost Effective: Due to the low set-up costs, Heat Transfers are the ideal use for small orders.
Cons:
Durability: Heat transfers are far less durable than embroidery or screen printing. If you’ve ever had a design ‘crack’ on a t-shirt or hoodie, that’s because it was decorated with heat transfers.
Heat Limitations: Some fabrics may not hold up well under high temperatures when using a heat press. But don’t worry, at SOLV, we’ll let you know what fabrics can and cannot use heat transfers before decoration.
Weight: Depending on the sizing of your heat transfer, it may feel heavier on the garment due to the decoration sitting on top of the fabric.
Sublimation: All-Over Awesomeness
This type of apparel decoration method prints your design directly into the fabric, resulting in crazy-cool, vibrant, all-over designs that won’t ever crack or fade. Sublimation is perfect for athletic or performance wear and for poly-based fabrics.
Pros:
No Fading or Cracking: Sublimation inks bond directly with the fabric, making it so that your apparel designs will always look good.
All-Over Designs: Sublimation can quite literally design every inch of the fabric, making it perfect for those intricate designs and vibrant colors.
Soft Touch: Since the ink is bonded directly to the fabric, you will never feel the decoration method, only the garment itself.
Cons:
Fabric Restrictions: Sublimation requires 100% polyester fabric or polyester blends.
Image Distortion: Sublimated images may appear distorted when the fabric is stretched.
Garment Restrictions: Only white or very light colored garments can allow for sublimation printing. Sublimation will not work on a dark colored or black polyester or poly-blend fabrics with a lower the 65% polyester composition.
Direct-to-Garment (DTG): Photorealistic & Precise
Direct-to-Garment uses premiere inkjet technology to print designs directly onto the garment, making it a perfect decoration method for detailed, full color graphics. It’s kind of the new-kid on the block.
Pros:
Detailed Designs: DTG is the perfect decoration method for intricate logos and images.
Low Set-Up Time: DTG is great for short-runs and quick turn times for custom orders.
Soft Touch: Since the image or design is getting printed directly into the fabric, it feels light and soft in your hands.
Cons:
Cost Per Unit: For higher quantity orders, DTG becomes very expensive, very quick.
Fabric Limitations: We recommend only printing with DTG on 100% so that the image adheres to the fabric much better.
Appliqué and Patches: Bring Back the Retro!
If your brand is looking for a texture or dimensional look, appliqués and patches offer a creative and unique twist on classic branding. If you’re looking for that outdoorsy or retro-inspired vibe, this apparel decoration method is built for you!
Pros:
Durability: Patches and appliqué’s are built to last, as long as they get stitched onto your garment, your good to go
Unique Aesthetic: These two decoration styles offer a cool texture and tactile element to your garment.
Versatility: Beyond the placement and the types of products that patches & appliqué’s can be placed on (i.e. hats, bags, jackets), they’re also super versatile in types of finishes and textures (i.e. rubber, leather, classic embroidered, woven).
Cons:
Cost: Due to the cost of additional materials, patches & appliqué’s tend to run more expensive than other types of decoration methods.
Pro Tip: If you do buy appliques and patches in bulk to use across various items (bags, hats, blankets, etc.) it can significantly help alleviate the upfront cost of set-up fees.
Style Preference: Patches & appliqué’s are not always the best fit for every brand’s aesthetic, but if used correctly it will definitely help your brand stand out for all the right reasons.
